How to tell whether the board thickness meet the acceptance standard?
Unless agreed upon between user and supplier, the board thickness shall meet the requirement for
the IPC Class 2 standard.
The nominal thickness less than or equal to 1.0mm, the thickness values can generally vary
by as much as +/-0.1mm.For the nominal thickness more than 1.0mm, the values can generally vary as much as +/-10%.
So for a printed circuit board thickness of 0.8mm. The approval thickness ranges from 0.72mm-0.88mm.While for a 1.6mm one, the approval ranges from 1.44mm-1.76mm.
